Heart disease risks are influenced by age, gender, high blood pressure, smoking, and other factors. To help reduce your risks for heart disease, University of Chicago experts will identify your personal risk factors with a $25 Heart Screening. If you have a family history of heart disease or if you are a man older than age 40, or a woman older than age 45, you owe it to yourself--and your loved ones--to get screened.
Our $25 Heart Screening includes:
• EKG monitored fitness test (a non-diagnostic test) or 12-lead EKG
• Cholesterol profile
• Blood pressure measurement, body fat analysis, height and weight check
• A Cardiac Risk Profile Report with customized instructions for reducing risks
Your exam will be performed by highly skilled exercise physiologists, clinical nutritionists, and nurses--all backed by expertise of the University of Chicago Hospitals' cardiology team.

This class will discuss normal kidney function, decreased renal function (kidney disease), and the pros and cons of different therapies used to treat chronic kidney disease. The instructor will review individual labs and aid in interpretation.

Visual Impairment Support Group
This psycho-educational support group is for the visually impaired and their family members or caregivers. Most sessions, a guest speaker discusses community resources for people with vision problems. Past speakers have included leaders from community aid organizations as well as from government services. There is time at the end of each session for questions and discussion.
Adults age 18 and older are welcome. Patients need to have either Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance to attend.
