Where Ignorance Is Not Bliss: Learn About Diseases, Drugs, Delirium, Dementia, Depression Normal aging changes can mimic or influence disease in older adults, while atypical signs and symptoms can delay diagnosis. The impact of disease on function as people live long can lead to dependence, disability and even death. Symptoms and signs of disease that demand immediate consultation with a health professional will be discussed, along with the ABCDs of acute illness. Clinical syndromes, such as failure to thrive, will be reviewed, as well as reasons for underreporting of illness in this population. www.asaging.org/webseminars/

Alzheimer’s Association chapters in nearly 200 communities across all 50 states will participate in Memory Walk to fight Alzheimer’s disease and provide support and education services to Alzheimer families in local communities. www.alz.org.
