Title: Gestational Diabetes Management Program
Description: Basic diabetes management is taught by a certified diabetes nurse
educator and a registered dietitian in small group sessions. An individual
diet and instruction regarding self-monitoring of blood glucose is provided.
Insulin administration is taught on physician order.

Title: Outpatient Diabetes Services
Description: St. John's Mercy offers coordinated care for people with diabetes
through education and nutrition counseling. A certified nurse educator, a
registered dietitian and a social worker work together to assist the patient
in management of their disease. The nurse educator provides instruction on
self-monitoring of blood glucose, insulin administation, oral agents, exercise
and all of the issues relating to the management of diabetes. The dietitian
provides nutrition counseling for the patient and family. For an appointment

Title: Lifeskills Diabetes Self-Management Program
Description: Comprehensive diabetes self-management program is taught by a
nurse-educator, pharmacist and dietitian, who is also a certified diabetes-educator.
It is an eight-hour program for people newly diagnosed with diabetes, those
having trouble controlling their disease, or those who need more self-management
skills.

St. Luke's Mobile Mammography Unit
Screening mammograms are done by appointment on the mobile unit; walk-ins
are welcome, if space is available. Annual screening mammograms are recommended
for women over 40. The mobile unit visits each of St. Luke's Urgent Care Centers
monthly. Schedule your appointment at an Urgent Care or other convenient location

to participating insurance companies. All screening mammograms performed by
St. Luke's Hospital are checked with the ImageChecker®.
